报告人介绍
Dr. Gregory Tierney, School of Engineering at Ulster University, specialising
in injury biomechanics and impact mechanics. His research focuses on understanding
the mechanisms of injury, combining multibody dynamics, wearable technologies,
signal processing, and machine learning to improve safety. He has led
and contributed to major international research initiatives, including
the development and validation of instrumented mouthguards for elite sport.
He is an active contributor to the international biomechanics community,
serving as a Council Member of the International Research Council on
Biomechanics of Injury. He also develops open-source tools and computational
methods to support biomechanics research and engineering education.
