An Introduction to Frontiers in Cosmology

Recent advances in observations of the cosmic microwave background, supernovae,

and large-scale structure have provided strong support for the standard

cosmological paradigm of inflation plus ΛCDM. Meanwhile, as observational

precision continues to improve, a number of potential deviations from

the standard model have gradually emerged. Understanding the physical

origins of these phenomena constitutes an important frontier of modern

cosmology. In this talk, I will briefly review the major research frontiers

in contemporary cosmology, summarize recent progress and outstanding problems,

and discuss possible avenues toward their future resolution.

赵文，中国科学技术大学天文学系讲席教授。2002年和2006年分别在中国科学技术大学天文学系获得学士和博士学位，之后先后在英国、韩国和丹麦从事博士后研究，2012年回到中国科学技术大学天文学系任教授。曾获中国科学院A类百人计划、国家自然科学基金优秀青年科学基金、国家杰出青年科学基金、教育部自然科学二等奖、安徽省研究生教学成果特等奖等。

主要研究方向为宇宙学和引力波天文学，包括宇宙微波背景辐射、早期宇宙学、引力波电磁对应体探测及其应用、引力波与引力的强场检验等。
