The lectures will be carried out from the following aspects:a review of the historical background of domino and cascading events in chemical parks; a description of the applicability of existing quantitative assessment methods for chemical park accidents; an introduction to safety barrier methods for preventing and mitigating cascading accidents; and an outlook and reflection on the direction of future research, with a view to improving the understanding of cascading events in the chemical industry and the level of risk management. 主讲人简介：Valerio Cozzani 任职于意大利博洛尼亚大学，化学工程学院教授，工业安全与环境可持续性实验室负责人。Valerio Cozzani教授在风险分析、安全评估与化学过程领域有着多年的研究经历，主要研究方向包括多灾种事故耦合、级联事件与多米诺效应。Valerio Cozzani教授为化学品技术委员会主席、欧洲安全过程工业协会主席、过程工业损失预防工作组的意大利代表。同时也是《Safety Science》期刊副主编，《Journal of Hazardous Materials》与《Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industry》期刊编委会成员。Valerio Cozzani is Professor of Chemical Engineering at University of Bologna, Italy, where he leads the Laboratory of Industrial Safety and Environmental Sustainability. He has about many years of research experience in the fields of risk analysis, safety assessment, and sustainable design of chemical processes, with a specific focus on multi-risk assessment, cascading events and domino effect. Prof. Cozzani chairs the Technical Committee on Chemical and Process Industry of the European Safety and Reliability Association, and is the Italian delegate in the Working Party on Loss Prevention in the Process Industry established by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering. He serves as Associate Editor for Safety Science, and as member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Hazardous Materials and for the Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industry.
